WATCH: Ja Morant claims he ‘would’ve cooked’ Michael Jordan in his era

Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant, who wish to play in NBA legend Michael Jordan’s generation, has confidently claimed that he ‘would’ve cooked’ the legend in his prime. The 22-year-old guard said this in an interview with Taylor Rooks on Sunday.

In an recent interview, Ja Morant was asked if he had the chance to talk to the Chicago Bulls legend in his generation, what would he has said? Replying to which, the Grizzlies guard has expressed his desire to play in Jordan’s generation.

He said, “[Jordan] the reason a lot of people want to play the game of basketball. To even be there with him is something I didn’t see myself doing as a kid. But having the opportunity to be there and talk to him, introduce myself, just have that conversation with him — I don’t know what I would’ve said. I wish I would’ve played in his generation. Just how he go about the game, just that mindset he had. I would’ve liked to play against him.”

The Bleacher Report has posted a video on Twitter interviewing Ja Morant. The youngster has believed he’s the most confident player and would’ve cooked Michael Jordan in his era. He said, “I would’ve cooked him, too. Nobody got more confidence than [me]. I’m never gonna go and say nobody gonna beat me one-on-one or anything. I don’t care what it is.”

Memphis Grizzlies finished second in the NBA Eastern Conference this year after losing to Golden State Warriors.
