The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League is underway, and ten teams are giving it all to lift the elusive trophy. The league phase of the tournament is being held at four venues across Mumbai and Pune. With limited movement, teams are getting enough time to practice and also spend some light moments during sessions. Mumbai Indians, who are slated to play Rajasthan Royals in their second game of the season, are getting ready to register their first win.

The five-time champions were seen practising hard in the nets ahead of the RR clash. During the same period, the team decided to play a game. Two captains were selected for two teams. While Jasprit Bumrah was named the captain of the "Nerd's team", Hrithik Shokeen was chosen as the leader for the second team named "Hipsters".

Both the captains were asked to pick their players. Bumrah started picking with Ishan Kishan while Shokeen first called Mayank Markande into his team. Bumrah then included Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma,  and Tilak Varma in his team while Shokeen called Riley Meredith, Anmolpreet Singh, and Fabian Allen.

But the funniest part came when Bumrah called for Kieron Pollard and the all-rounder started cursing him. As soon as the MI pacer pointed towards Pollard, the West Indies all-rounder started abusing him. Although it was beeped, it felt like Pollard was denying to join the Nerds. But Bumrah reminded him that he was the captain and it was his call as he said "You have to, you have no other choice."

MI start on a losing note- as always

Now, coming to Mumbai Indians' IPL 2022 campaign, the Rohit Sharma-led side has once again lost its first game of the season. MI were defeated by Delhi Capitals in their first game of IPL 2022. After being put in to bat first, MI put a healthy total of 177/5 in their quota of 20 overs. Ishan Kishan was their stat with his 48-ball 81*. But it was their bowlers who let them down. Even Jasprit Bumrah conceded 12.9 runs per over. With Suryakumar Yadav back with MI, Rohit Sharma will hope for a better show against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday.
