What a rollercoaster of a Test match this has been so far at the Edgbaston in Birmingham. While it was all about the England bowlers in the first session on Day 1, the Indian batters led by Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja helped India make a strong comeback in the later half of the day. While Pant scored a fantastic hundred and eventually departed for a 111-ball 146, Jadeja remained unbeaten on 83 at Stumps on Day 1.

On Day 2 while Jadeja completed his century and departed soon after, it looked like the Three Lions may now manage to wrap up the tail quickly. However, on debut as captain Jasprit Bumrah had other ideas. He went about playing his strokes and took a particular liking to Stuart Broad scoring 29 runs off his 18th over that eventually went for 35 runs- the most expensive over ever in the history of Test cricket.

On the fourth ball of the over, Jasprit Bumrah lost his balance while playing the stroke and fell on the ground but till then had already managed to middle the stroke and eventually send the ball to the square-leg fence.
