With the two most successful sides in the history of IPL going head-to-head against each other in match 27 of its 14th edition, Chennai Super Kings were put into bat by the Rohit Sharma-led team. After a fantastic century stand from both Moeen Ali and Faf du Plessis, Kieron Pollard provided the much-desired wicket of the South Africa batsman, courtesy of Jasprit Bumrah’s resilient effort at short fine-leg.

In the 12th over, Rohit Sharma introduced Pollard with Suresh Raina and du Plessis at the crease. On the 5th delivery of the over, Pollard saw the Protea trying to scoop the ball and adjusted his pace accordingly. This resulted in the CSK batsman miscuing the shot high in the air towards short fine-leg. Quinton de Kock and Jasprit Bumrah came in running towards the ball and for a moment both were about to miss the catch. Eventually, it was the Indian pace bowler who latched onto it, dismissing du Plessis for a well-made 50 off 28.

Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma's move proved to be a significant change as both du Plessis and Suresh Raina went back to the pavilion in the same over bowled by Pollard.

Here is the video of the catch:

Both Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali have provided a great platform for the rest of the batting order to blossom. Keeping the scoring rate at almost 10 runs per over, both spoken about batsmen departed in a span 7 balls.
