Although the Indian Premier League (IPL) is over the impact of the world's most successful and star-studded T20 domestic tournament is hard to ignore. IPL has created a unique platform where cricketers from all over the world participate for a month to produce the best cricket every year.

The franchise tournament provides an opportunity to share the dressing room with the mightiest of the game, it also creates a chance for international players from different countries to play with each other and understand each other's game. At times, players are seen using tricks against their IPL teammates in international fixtures where they are rivals.  A similar sight came to everyone's notice during the ongoing rescheduled fifth Test match between England and India.

On Day 1 of the Test match, veteran pacer James Anderson dismissed Indian batter Shreyas Iyer by getting him caught behind the wicket. While the England players went into ecstasy and started celebrating the wicket, former England skipper Joe Root pointed his finger towards newly appointed head coach Brandon McCullum in the dressing room, suggesting it was McCullum's idea to bowl a short ball angling in around the ribs.

The Indian batter tried to flick it but the ball got an edge off Iyer's gloves which was perfectly grabbed by an excellent effort from wicket-keeper Sam Billings behind the wicket.

Speaking of the match, Indian batters produced a horrific show on Day 1 of the final Test of the series as India was soon reduced to 98/5 in 27.5 overs. Eventually, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja have added some stability to the innings with Pant scoring a half-century and remaining unbeaten on 53 at Tea. India are 174/5 with one session remaining in the opening day after being invited to bat first.
