With just a day remaining for IPL 2022, the T20 fever is set to take over the fans. IPL franchises and players are expressing their excitement on social media and Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is one such player who has been regularly updating the fans with his hilarious banter. The Indian spinner had taken over as the admin of the Rajasthan Royals’ Twitter handle for a day last week and posted some hilarious tweets on that day.

In one of the tweets on that day, Chahal had made his intentions clear that he wants to open the batting alongside Jos Buttler. “10000 retweets and he will open with @josbuttler uncle,” Chahal had written through Royals' official handle.

On Thursday, the Rajasthan Royals Twitter handle shared a video of Chahal asking Buttler the same question as he was heard saying, “Joshy bhai, come open with me.” The video also contained the reaction from Buttler and Jimmy Neesham after the duo heard Chahal's request of opening the batting.

Under the leadership of wicketkeeper batter Sanju Samson, the inaugural champions will kick start their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 29 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. Rajasthan Royals won the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League in 2008, but the squad in pink has had a dry run since then. They've made it to the playoffs three times since their 2008 triumph but haven't been able to recreate their achievements from the initial season.

Rajasthan Royals have a strong squad as they acquired several key players in the IPL 2022 mega auction. The franchise has a very strong Indian contingent with the likes of Sanju Samson, Ravichandran Ashwin, Prasidh Krishna, Devdutt Padikkal, Navdeep Saini, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag and Chahal.
