Cricket is a competitive game. With the game evolving continuously, teams are on the lookout to pip their opponents at every possible moment in the game. But there is also a term that remains to be kept in the mind 'spirit of cricket'. There have been numerous instances in competitive cricket when people tend to ignore certain things.

But these small things can change the whole game. The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one such league where the level and intensity of games played are topmost. The Indian T20 League has got even bigger and more competitive with the introduction of two new teams. The 15th edition of the league is into its 24th match where Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans are locking horns against each other.

RR started well after opting to bowl first as they got rid of three Gujarat batters early in the innings. However, a partnership between Abhinav Manohar and Hardik Pandya helped Gujarat recover. The duo was finding gaps and timely boundaries. On the second ball of the 12th over of GT innings, Abhinav Manohar pulled Jimmy Neesham towards the long-on region.

Jos Buttler, however, came sliding and stopped the ball before it could cross the ropes. Things looked normal but suddenly Buttler was seen suggesting the umpires to check the fielding effort as he doubted if he had stopped the shot cleanly. Upon checking it was found out that Buttler had mistakenly touched the advertising cushions while he tried to regain balance.
