Rajasthan Royals are locking horns with Kolkata Knight Riders in match number 18 of IPL 2021. Just when the 2008 champions needed a morale boosting performance to lift up their diminished spirits, Jos Butler’s quick attributes on the field helped them dismiss KKR opener Shubman Gill.
In the 6th over of the game, Gill was keen to get off the strike as he was struggling to get the runs. The right-handed batsman struck the ball towards covers and tried to steal a single. Sensing an opportunity, England’s Jos Butler effected a brilliant underarm throw to make sure Gill landed short of his crease by a fair distance.

With both of KKR’s opening batsman making a very slow start, Jos Butler’s accurate and aware fielding made sure that RR are able to put more pressure on the two-time IPL champions with Gill departing for mere 11 runs off 19 balls.
Rajasthan Royals have lost 3 out of their 4 games in the IPL 2021 and are currently placed last in the table. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders’ journey so far in this IPL hasn’t been too good either as they are just one place above RR on seventh spot with just 1 win in 4 games.
