True to his words, football manager Jose Mourinho bought Felix Afena-Gyan the approximately INR 67,000 shoes that he wanted after the AS Roma star kid scored a match-winning brace against Genoa on Sunday. The video of Mourinho handing over the shoes to the 18-year-old has already received millions of views as the teenaged star could be seen giving a warm hug to the coach.

Felix Afena-Gyan came off the bench in the 74th minute and netted the two goals to take Roma to a splendid win, later celebrating with coach Mourinho on the touchline in an amazing set of visuals. It was after the win itself that the Portuguese had revealed his promise of buying the expensive pair of shoes to the footballer which he has now fulfilled.

The win has taken Roma over Genoa and they are now placed fifth in the league. Speaking about the promise he made to the footballer, he said: "I had promised to buy Felix the boots he really likes, which are really expensive, they cost €800, so he ran over and told me not to forget."

"Tomorrow morning, the first thing I do is buy him the boots," he stated after the triumph.

"I am sorry for Mister De Rossi and the Primavera squad, but Felix will stay with us. The Primavera work close to us, so Felix and another four or five players have come across to the senior squad," he further said before adding: "What impressed me the most was his cool head in front of goal. If he is not in terms of technique fantastic, he does have a strong mentality."

"You get these kids now who think they know everything, but he is humble and you can sense he just absorbs all this information from everyone around him. That's fantastic," he explained.

As of now, both Napoli and AC Milan are going neck and neck for the Serie A title with 32 points from 13 matches. However, it is Napoli who currently has a better goal difference and thus edge out Milan and are enjoying the pole position. Inter Milan and Atalanta BC complete the current top four.
