As Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad locked horns in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday, not many would have predicted that it would go on to be one of the most exciting matches in UAE leg of IPL 2021. On a difficult batting wicket, SRH posted a competitive total of 141/7 in 20 overs and the game was on. RCB desperately needed a win to continue their pursuit of a top-two finish, which set up things very interestingly for the run-chase.

After the early dismissal of Virat Kohli, the pressure continued to mount with Daniel Christian and KS Bharat also failing to make an impact. This is when Glenn Maxwell entered the crease, took on the SRH bowling and turned the tides in RCB's favour once again. He looked in brilliant touch and it seemed like he would not get dismissed on the day. However, SRH somehow found a way to send the Aussie back to the pavilion.

Williamson fires in a bullet one-handed throw to dismiss Maxwell

As Rashid Khan was introduced into the attack in 15th over, Padikkal played a shot on the off side and called for a quick single to get Maxwell back on strike. The Aussie had dominated Rashid in Abu Dhabi on the day which is why he was also keen to bat against him.

Unfortunately for Maxwell and RCB, the ball had gone towards Kane Williamson, just in front of cover. The ball bounced beautifully for the Kiwi who grabbed it with one-handed and instantaneously fired in a bullet throw at the striker's end. The ball hit the stumps directly with Maxwell nowhere in the picture, handing SRH the crucial breakthrough.
