Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are among the most admired couples in the country, and both enjoy a massive fan following from all walks of society. Recently, Kashmiri artist Shabbir Ahmed created a 3D portrait of the star couple. In the video which is doing rounds on social media, Ahmed displays the painting and revealed that he is a big admirer of the former Indian skipper.
The painting has been made in the Basholi art, which originated in Jammu. Ahmed has been quoted by several media reports saying that it took him six months to make the particular painting, and he wished the couple to acknowledge his hard work once. “Yes, I would like Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma to see this painting. This will give encouragement and support to my Baba (father), who likes the way he bats,” Shabbir Ahmed was reportedly quoted.
Shabir Ahmad, an elderly artist from #Kashmir, has drawn this beautiful painting of @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma! It has taken him months together to complete drawing it. His only wish is that they should see it once!
“It will mean a lot if this painting reaches to them!” He said pic.twitter.com/rZwMH0cUdN

Adding further, Ahmed confessed that he is a great admirer of Kohli. He believes that the Indian batter is the flagbearer of Indian cricket and carries up the legacy of Sachin Tendulkar. “Whenever he plays, the whole of India knows that the country will win, and when he gets out, the match becomes one-sided; that is why I like him so much.
That’s why I made this painting, and my wish is that this painting reaches him somehow. That will be something that will give me recognition,” he added.
Speaking of Kohli, the Indian batter is currently representing Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing Indian Premier League. RCB has won two out of three games in the league and has been placed sixth in the points table.
