Women's cricket is on an all-time rise across the globe and it is probably one of the best times to be an international women cricketer, with so much effort being taken by authorities for its growth. They are also earning quite well and fans would think that there won't be anything in the world that they can't buy. However, there are things which are way more precious and important than all the expensive stuff available around us.
A perfect demonstration of the same was given by the family of English women's cricketer Kate Cross recently. The right-arm pacer celebrated her 30th birthday on October 3 and had a blast with her friends and family, something which was very evident through her Twitter post.
Special gift for Kate on her 30th birthday
However, the gift that she got on her special day would be something that she would never ever forget in her life. Kate has had an illustrious career so far, having played for so many teams and franchises throughout her career. This is why her family decided to give her a very unique birthday present in the form of a special chair, which had shirts, jerseys and memorabilia of all the sides that she has represented in her career.
Kate posted a video on her social media and showed everyone the special gift while also doing commentary around the same. While expressing her happiness and gratitude, she stated, "Look at this chair that they had made for me. It's got every shirt and every team that I've ever played in on it. Literally everything. OGs, Test number, T20 kit, Haywood. Literally, everything and it goes all the way round. Like on the back here we've got when I played for Western Fury over in Perth. Brisbane Heat."
"We won the Ashes in this kit. Ashes Test shirt, everything. MCCU, when I was at Uni (University). Thunder. How amazing is that? How cool," the 30-year-old added.
