With no live IPL action currently going on, franchises still try their best to keep their fans engaged and entertained by sharing photos and videos of the players on social media. Mumbai Indians took to Instagram on Sunday to post a short video of Kieron Pollard, where the big-hitter can be seen practising some hits in the nets during IPL 2021.

'P for Polly, P for Power’

In the video, Pollard can be seen smashing the ball all around the park with brute force. "P for Polly, P for Power", MI captioned the video. However, the jaw-dropping moment came when Pollard goes behind the stump to amaze his teammates. Interestingly he was able to time the shot pretty well which doesn’t look like a piece of cake.

The former West Indies captain has been a vital clog in the MI squad. Pollard has been with the team since log and has played 150 games for the franchise. In MI's game against arch-rival CSK in IPL 2021, it was none other than Kieron Pollard, who mercilessly smashed 87 off just 34 deliveries that turned the match for Mumbai, who were chasing a mammoth target of 219.

Cricket fan tries to mimic Pollard’s behind the stump stroke

Whether it is merely a coincidence or deliberate imitation, but in a similar fashion to Pollard’s stroke, a cricket lover youngster tried to mimic Pollard’s behind the stump stroke and successfully aced the stroke in the first attempt. However, he miserably failed to do it on the second occasion.

Pollard will be leading Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL 2021 in a hunt for their 5th CPL trophy and is likely to miss the second leg of IPL at UAE.
