The ongoing contest between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings just keep on giving entertainment to the fans one after the other. While there have been some outstanding catches by Chetan Sakariya, Rahul Tewatia and Arshdeep Singh, there have been as many as five dropped catches as well. Between these two extremes, an extremely funny moment happened on the field where there was an almost-dropped catch during the match.
Three players required to dismiss Ben Stokes
Chasing a mammoth target of 222, Rajasthan sent star all-rounder Ben Stokes to open the innings. As the 29-year-old tried to launch an attack right from the beginning, he completely made a mess of the pull shot off Mohammed Shami. As the ball went straight up in the air, KL Rahul's eyes lit up as the man with gloves went to take the catch.
However, he had no idea that two other players, Mohammed Shami and Deepak Hooda were also setting up to take the catch. In the end, Punjab Kings' skipper did manage to get a hold of the catch as Hooda stepped out of the way. However, KL fell on the ground after colliding with Mohammed Shami but ensured that the ball didn't bounce away.
