India are all set to enter a new era in T20 cricket with Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid set to lead the Men in Blue in 3-match T20I series, beginning in Jaipur on Wednesday. Following India's early exit at the recently-concluded World Cup in UAE, there have been a lot of criticism with respect to their style and approach in the shortest format of the game.

Many former cricketers have opined that India lack the positive and risk-taking intent which has helped England and Australia in their recent triumphs. This is why it has been speculated that Rohit Sharma's side might play a different brand of cricket going forward, which makes it really exciting for Indian cricket lovers.

Indian batsmen try new drill in practice session

Much to everyone's delight, the new-look Indian side recently showed glimpses of what can be expected of them in times to come. Ahead of 1st T20I in Jaipur, the batters practised playing some big shots in the nets.

However, there was something that was quite unique for everyone to see. In one of the footage from the training session, India's duo of KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer were seen practising with baseball bat instead of a cricket bat, which surprised everyone.

It is a well-known fact that baseball bats are used to hit huge 'home runs' and it might just be a hint that Indian batsmen are leaving no stone unturned to play some fearless cricket going forward in the lead up to 2022 T20 World Cup.
