Golden State Warriors forward Klay Thompson during the post-match press conference after match against New Orleans Pelicans patted himself on the back as he averaged over 20 points this season. Thompson led the Warriors as he scored 41 points in the absence of Steph Curry.

While speaking to the media, he said, “I pat myself on the back because when you go through the injuries I did. There's really slow days, there's so many tedious exercises.”

"Just building up your muscles again to be able to do what Yohjiu love, it was a challenge, something I never had to do before. So to do it twice, to come out and average a double. It's inspiring for myself and it just make me wanna keep going. 'Cos I'm still just scratching the surface on what I can become", said Klay.

Notaly, Thompson finished the season averaging 20.4 points per game and 38.5% from 3.

Steph Curry doubtful for playoffs opener

Golden State Warriors star guard Steph Curry suffered a sprained ligament in his left foot and Dubs head coach Steve Kerr gave an update on his status for their first-round playoff game against the Denver Nuggets. “He continues to get his work in,” Kerr said.

“It's literally day to day, so tomorrow we'll meet with the team and go through our strategy, our game plan, practice in the afternoon and then each day we'll just determine where Steph is as far as how much he'll be able to do.”

“The whole team will need a scrimmage given that we generally play every other day and all of a sudden we have six days between games, that's pretty unique," Kerr added.

“At the end of the week we'll determine whether he's ready or not,” Kerr said when asked whether there is a timetable for making a decision about Curry's availability and concluded saying that it is hard to predict more on it.
