Legendary basketball player LeBron James has returned to the Drew League for the first time since 2011. The LA Lakers star joined hands with the Chicago Bulls guard DeMar DeRozan on the MMV Cheaters squad on Sunday morning.

James led Cheaters to a 104-102 win over Black Pearl as the 6 feet 9 inches NBA star put up a stat line of 42 points, 16 rebounds and 4 steals in the process followed by DeMar DeRozan who went on to score 30 points and 14 rebounds in the winning cause.

The Drew League is a pro-am summer basketball league based in Los Angeles that features some prominent NBA stars entertaining the fans while enduring the game sessions ahead of the regular NBA season.

The NBA 2022 champions Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has also attended the MMV Cheaters and Black Pearl fixture from the sidelines. After the game, the three NBA stars were seen jubilantly interacting with each other.

Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving was also expected to play in the Drew League later in the day. Meanwhile, Irving was heavily linked with a move to LA Lakers uniting with his old teammate LeBron James with whom he won the NBA title in 2016 while making a sensational comeback against the Golden State Warriors after losing 3-0 in the series.
