The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix had all the ingredients of a blockbuster. Stars, controversy, drama and a thrilling climax. Two of F1's biggest stars and title contenders Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen even collided in the process but in the end, it was Hamilton who prevailed and drew level on points with Verstappen with the Abu Dhabi GP to go.

Post the race, Hamilton stated that his rival Max Verstappen tends to drive "over the limit" and does not believe that the rules and regulations of the sport apply to him. His remark came after the same collision as well as near-miss all unfolding at the Saudi Arabian GP.

However, irrespective of the controversy that has emerged, the eventual result has set up for a superb finale between Hamilton and Verstappen who both now have 369.5 points. However, it should be noted that Verstappen leads on countback as he has more victories which essentially implies that should they remain tied on points it will be Verstappen who will be adjudged the winner.

The Mercedes and Red Bull Driver had collided on lap 38 of the race, the video of which has been shared.

Check it out here:

"For me, I really had to try and just keep my cool out there, which was really difficult to do," Hamilton told Sky Sports. "I've raced a lot of drivers in my life, in the 28 years, I've come across a lot of different characters."

"There's a few at the top which are... yeah, over the limit. Rules kinda don't apply, or they don't think of the rules."

Later when Hamilton was quizzed whether Verstappen fit into that category, this is what he responded: "He's over the limit, for sure. I've avoided collision on so many occasions with the guy and I don't always mind being the one that does that, because you live to fight another day. Which I obviously did."

The 36-year-old also explained how he was not quite sure what his Red Bull rival had been doing moments before their collision.
