England’s Liam Livingstone continues his incredible run of form in the T20s. The Englishman was once again in action in game against Derbyshire in Vitality T20 Blast. In his third match for the Lancashire Lightings, the 28-year-old smashed 75 off 40 balls and helped the Roses put up a massive score of 219.

In his brilliant knock, Livingstone hit 4 boundaries and 4 sixes, but his highlight shot from the game was the massive six, which he hit towards the leg side against Mark Watt. Batting in the 8th over, Watt presented Livingstone with an inviting short ball which the latter smashed over deep mid-wicket. The ball landed on a construction site. One of the workers from that site ran and retrieved the ball.

I love coming back here to play: Livingstone

Reacting to his performance and his team’s win, Liam Livingstone said, “It was a good game of cricket. “The pitch was a bit interesting to start with, but it as the ball got a bit older it became a really good surface. We had a short side to defend when we were bowling and a short side to attack when we were batting. We would probably have liked to close it out a bit better, but all in all, it was a good win.”

“I love coming back here to play,” he added with a smile. It’s always nice to be able to affect games for Lancashire. It has been a day for the batters, but I guess you can look at our bowling and say we’ve done well to restrict them to that.”
