England all-rounder Liam Livingstone is one of the most fierce batters amongst the current crop of cricketers. The hard-hitting batter has already given a glimpse of his ability to hit long sixes with ease in the recently concluded Indian Premier League. During the ongoing first one-day international against the Netherlands, England batter once again turned on his lethal mode as he smashed 32 runs in the 46th over of the first innings.

The ongoing first ODI brought the best of England batters as three of them scored blistering centuries and helped their side post a mammoth 498 in the first innings. While Philip Salt (122 off 93), Dawid Malan (125 off 109) and Jos Buttler (151 off 66) scored aggressive centuries, Liam Livingstone stole the show with his hard-hitting batting.

England was cruising ahead with 446/4, when Netherlands all-rounder Logan van Beek came to bowl the over but little he knew of Livingstone's plan. Livingstone welcomed Van Beek with a boundary as he went for four maximums and two boundaries in the over. 4, 6, 6, 6, 4, 6 were the readings of the 46th over.

Livingstone's blitz knock in the 46th over helped England to score 32 runs in an over, as he went on to score 66 off 22 deliveries. With the help of three centuries, 26 sixes and 36 fours in an innings England recorded the highest ODI score as they put on 498/4 in 50 overs.

For the Netherlands, Pieter Selaar picked two wickets while Logan van Beek and Shane Snater took one wicket each. Philippe Boissevain was the most expensive bowler as he conceded 108 runs in his quota of ten overs.
