Lionel Messi's move to PSG has stunned the whole footballing world, leaving everyone in shock. While fans across the globe are still taking time to digest the sequence of events that have unfolded in the last few days, people in Paris are having the time of their lives. Whether it's the airport or the stadium, it has had an absolutely festive atmosphere throughout the capital of France since the arrival of Lionel Messi.

The entire city is going gaga and it is not surprising at all. The world's best player is all set to play for their club and all the excitement and craze around the same is quite justified. While the fans are trying everything and are going out of their way just to get a glimpse of the Argentine star, some people have notably got quite lucky - very, very lucky!

What happens when Messi is your neighbour?

While Lionel Messi is looking for a new home in Paris, he has decided to stay for a few days in Paris’ five star Le Royal Monceau Hotel. The news about his stay had already been out in public as the fans had already gathered outside the hotel before his arrival on Tuesday. As the footballer reached the hotel, he did take some time to come outside on the balcony and acknowledge his fans.

Amid all this, a Malayali fan got quite lucky as he had got a room adjacent to the one Messi was staying in. While no one knows if it was all planned or the fan got lucky, all we know is that it was worth it because the Argentine did make notice of him. As he was screaming and cheering for Messi, the footballer's son brought it to the notice of his father and Messi obliged by giving a 'thumbs up', which the fan would remember for a lifetime.

Messi is staying in one of the most expensive hotels in Paris

Le Royal Monceau is one of the most luxurious and expensive hotels in the city, which is Messi's temporary home for few days. The footballer is notably paying  £17,000 per night (INR 17.5 Lakh approx) for the room where he is staying with his family. It was the same hotel that hosted Neymar when the Brazilian joined the club in 2017.

While the charges won't be an issue for Messi, he would still want to find a permanent home for himself and his family very soon to get settled and begin a new chapter of his career.
