Lionel Messi is an absolute legend of the game. While he is widely regarded as one of the finest players that has ever stepped onto the football field, numbers speak louder for him than his fans. The Argentine has won a record 7 Ballon d'Or and has left his inspired many footballers to take up the sport.

However, even the scarcely believable records have been made by essentially human beings and to err is human, as they say. The same was on display in a video that is doing the rounds on the Internet. While on national duty, the Argentina team was practicing a drill during which the players had to take two touches on the ball with two different limbs and then has to keep the ball in the air.

The twist in the drill was that the player who failed to do so had to be hit by his teammates. Although Nicolas Otamendi and Rodrigo De Paul missed doing what was needed and were hit as was decided before, when Messi made a mistake, the game just went on.

Have a look at the video here:

The video is another indication of how much respect the man garners in his national side through his sheer dominance on the pitch for years. Having said that, Messi hasn't had a particularly great season after switching to Paris Saint-Germain from FC Barcelona.

In 26 appearances for the French League winners, Messi managed only 6 goals. However, it is being reported that he is taking his time to adjust to a new club and more eyes will be on him when he dons PSG colours in a brand new season.
