Liverpool claimed their eighth FA Cup title by beating Chelsea in a dramatic fashion on Saturday night. Jurgen Klopp’s men fought hard to win the game in a penalty shootout. Kostas Tsimikas put the final nail in the coffin as he sent Mendy the wrong way and then wheeled away in delight.

This was the first FA Cup title for Liverpool in sixteen years. And with this win, they still have their dreams for the quadruple alive. This win was special for Liverpool and thus it required a special celebration from them as well. And they did celebrate this FA Cup win in a special manner.

Mohammad Salah and Liverpool players invited a special guest to their celebration party. Egyptian midfielder Moamen Zakaria was called to join Liverpool players to celebrate this special win. Zakaria, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2020, appeared in Liverpool’s locker room as a special guest of star forward Mo Salah, his former teammate on the Egyptian national team.

A video of the club’s heartwarming gesture was shared on social media. In the video, Salah and his teammates can be seen singing in celebration while a smiling Zakaria holds the trophy while sitting in his wheelchair.

Liverpool almost recreate Carabao Cup final

Liverpool’s win over Chelsea in the FA Cup Final felt like deja vu to many. This brought back the memories of the Red’s win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup Final. Just like that game, Liverpool won the match in a penalty shootout. While they took the Carabao Cup Final 11-10, they won the FA Cup 6-5. Interestingly, the venue for both these games was also the same, Wembley Stadium.
