As the Premier League is entering towards the business end of the season, things are getting more and more dramatic every weekend. While the fans would have felt that they have seen it all this season, something absolutely remarkable happened at The Hawthorns on Sunday. Liverpool, who had reignited their hopes of a top-four finish with a fantastic 4-2 win against Manchester United, had almost squandered their chances against West Brom. With the scores tied at the 90-minute mark, Jurgen Klopp's side received a corner and the manager asked his goalkeeper Alisson to go and attack.

Alisson scores in the 95th minute

In one of the most dramatic moments of the season, Alisson Becker reacted quickly on Trent's whipped-in corner and perfectly headed the ball down the corner, winning the match for Liverpool. The players and the staff could not believe what they saw as the 28-year-old became the sixth goalkeeper ever to score a goal in the Premier League and what a moment it was. The Alisson strike keeps Liverpool in the hunt of qualifying for next season's Champions League. Even Liverpool's manager Jurgen Klopp could not process what he saw as he said, "Unbelievable, what a header! I've never seen anything like that."

The Liverpool goalkeeper got extremely emotional after the final whistle and was seen in tears. It was indeed a great moment for Alisson who lost his father earlier this year in a tragic drowning accident. In a heartwarming interview after the match, the 28-year-old dedicated his goal to his late father and said, "I am too emotional - this last month - everything that happened with me and my family - but Football is my life. I have played since I remember as a human being with my father. I hope he was here to see it but I am sure he is seeing with God on his side and celebrating."

While the football fans across the globe lauded Alisson for his heroic show, they also couldn't stop them from holding back their tears watching the emotional interview after the match. The entire story is just a testimony to the fact of how beautiful this sport is and what it means to the players and fans. The 28-year-old certainly deserves all the appreciation for coming back stronger from a personal tragedy and winning the game for the club in a spectacular style.
