In the Ranji Trophy 2021-22 season, Madhya Pradesh (MP) did not lose any of the fixtures and continued their momentum to win the maiden title trophy. In the finals against Mumbai, they had an edge from the first innings itself and were impressive to pick wickets on the fifth day and chase down the target of 108 easily. This win has also been lauded due to the team returning with strong results, despite the absence of the key players like Avesh Khan and Venkatesh Iyer, who are with the Indian squad for the Ireland T20I series.
The BCCI Domestic official Twitter account posted the video of dressing room celebrations of the MP team. The video started with star of the match Rajat Patidar saying, ‘This is the winning moment Boys’, and Kartikeya was dancing behind him. Then the 28-year-old thanked the fans who have supported them on all the grounds, where they have played the tournament.

After the cake-cutting, the entire team went in jubilation, danced, and posed for photos and videos. In the end, spinner Kartikeya reckoned that he will now return home after nine years by winning the Ranji Trophy and the IPL experience. He gave the credit to captain Aditya Srivastava and coach Chandrakant Pandit for the victory.
“I am very happy after winning the Ranji Trophy. This has happened after many years, and MP has won the title. After nine years, I will return home after playing in the IPL and the Ranji Trophy. It was the dream of mine and team to win the Ranji Trophy, and credit goes to the captain and coach. The coach showed us the dream to win the Ranji Trophy, and if he had not done it, we would not have reached this stage,” said Kartikeya
