After winning the first match against West Ham United, two-time defending champions Manchester City thrashed Bournemouth 4-0 in their second Premier League 2022-23 fixture at the Etihad Stadium. City star Kevin de Bruyne scored a magnificent solo goal with the outside of his foot in the Saturday's game.

Norwegian striker Erling Haaland failed to score a goal on his home debut for Manchester City but assisted Ilkay Gundogan for the team's opening goal. Kevin de Bruyne scored the second goal in the 31st minute to take City's lead to 2-0.

After scoring City's second goal of the match, the Belgian playmaker set up Phil Foden for the third goal before the first half ended. Although, Erling Haaland couldn't score a single goal, Manchester City scored four goals in total as Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden scored the starting three goals before Jefferson Lerma's own goal made it 4-0.

Manchester City will now face Newcastle United for their next Premier League fixture on August 21 at the St James Park stadium.
