The ongoing edition of Abu Dhabi T10 League continues to astonish the fans with every other game. The short format of the game undoubtedly takes the concept of 'settling down for batsmen' away from the equation. It's all about going after the bowlers right from the first delivery and the true exhibition of the same was shown by Moeen Ali and Kennar Lewis.

Northern Warriors were asked to chase a humungous target of 146 in match no. 19 of the tournament against Team Abu Dhabi. It was always going to be a huge mountain to climb but the opening duo of Moeen Ali and Kennar Lewis made it look like a cakewalk.

As expected, the two players went berserk right from the beginning as they tried to hit every ball for a boundary. Kennar Lewis went on to score 65 runs in 32 balls, while Moeen Ali registered 77 runs in 23 balls as the duo notched up an unbeaten 146-run partnership to chase down the target in 55 deliveries (9.1 overs). Notably, a total of 7 boundaries and 15 sixes were hit during their record-breaking opening stand.

There were many records that were broken during the course of the outstanding display of batting by Northern Warriors' openers. Moeen Ali's 16-ball fifty turned out to be the fastest half-century of the season, while the explosive partnership also got the #1 position on the list.

The two batsmen showed mercy on no bowler with Fidel Edwards (0/22), Ahmed Daniyal (0/31), Liam Livingstone (0/28) and Marchant de Lange (0/42) conceding runs at an economy of over 10 in their spell of 2 overs. Even Danny Briggs, who bowled only a single over, was smashed for 21 runs.
