As Premier League action returned after the international break, it kicked off with Liverpool's trip to Vicarage Road where they were up against Watford on Matchday 8. With an opportunity to provisionally go at top of the standings, Jurgen Klopp's side needed to stamp their authority and they certainly did that with some swagger.

It was their star man Mohamed Salah who got them running but this time, in a slightly different role. Despite being in the form of his life, the 29-year-old has been at the receiving end of some criticism for not contributing enough to goals for his teammates. He had 6 goals in 7 appearances coming to Saturday's contest but had only 3 assists to his name.

However, this is what great players love! Criticism! Because that's when they respond to silence the critics. Something very similar happened with Salah as the goal-scoring machine turned into an assist provider vs Watford and as expected, it was truly extraordinary.

What an incredible piece of skill from Salah!

The 29-year-old looked in some mood against a sluggish Watford defense as he was getting a lot of space down the right flank. But something very remarkable happened in the 9th minute of game. Ben Foster's goal kick was headed back towards Watford's half and as Danny Rose tried to go ahead of Salah, the Liverpool star used his body to deceive him.

And when it was expected that Salah will run down and dribble past everyone on the wing, he decided to come up with an audacious pass off the outside of his left boot as the ball landed directly in the path of Sadio Mane, who sent the ball past Foster with a sublime finish. The Mane-Salah combo was back and it was lovely for fans to see the duo producing another magical goal in Premier League.

The netizens were quick to praise Mohamed Salah for his incredible piece of skill to find Mane with a delightful pass. While some were left in awe of his genius, the others termed it as 'assist of the season'. One Twitter user even went on to claim that no player can better this assist and the award is done and dusted for the season.

Talking about the match, Liverpool doubled their lead through Roberto Firmino to go to half-time with a 2-0 advantage. As it stands, only a miracle could help Watford stopping Jurgen Klopp's side from going to top of the points table for the moment.
