The second Test between Pakistan and Australia is underway at the National Stadium in Karachi. Australia look in a strong position after opting to bat first. The visitors have already posted over 350 runs till the second session of Day 2. Australia found their hero in Usman Khawaja who scored a brilliant 160 before departing. He was well aided by Steven Smith who scored a half-century.

Amid all the beautiful shots and sweat-breaking bowling, one incident in the game caught the attention of the fans. Mohammad Rizwan asking Steve Smith for his suggestion on whether Pakistan should take a DRS referral against him was a sight to behold. In the third session of Day 1, Nauman Ali managed to beat Steve Smith and Pakistan sensed an opportunity to dismiss Smith.

As the on-field umpire denied the appeal, Pakistan players started discussing whether to take the referral or not. To make things simple, Rizwan approached the batter asking him what he thinks should be done. This action from Rizwan left everyone on the ground in splits. Babar Azam, Steve Smith, Nauman Ali, and others found their stomach aching with laughter. Captain Babar Azam seemed most amused by his wicketkeeper's sense of humor.

Another draw?

The ongoing series between Australia and Pakistan is a historic one with the Kangaroos coming to the subcontinent for the first time in 24 years. However, the series did not start on a good note as the first game ended in a tiring draw. The Rawalpindi pitch was rated below average by the ICC for its lack of help to the bowlers. The Karachi pitch also looks somewhat similar with the batters finding it easy to score runs.

Australia are heading up for a big first-innings total with Usman Khawaja scoring a daddy hundred. Apart from Smith and Khawaja, other batters also chipped in with handy scores. While Nathan Lyon and David Warner scored around 40 runs, Alex Carey and Cameron Green are still at the crease batting on 20* and 28* respectively.
