Kerala cricketer Mohammed Azharuddeen has been the talk of town for quite some time in domestic cricket. The youngster came into limelight after smashing 137 runs off 52 balls in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in January, 2021. The knock turned the fortunes of the youngster when he was bagged by Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL auction for INR 20 lakhs. While he would be over the moon with the prospect of playing under Virat Kohli, he is looking completely focused ahead of the upcoming season of IPL.

Azharuddeen ready for IPL 2021

The 26-year-old produced a scintillating all-round performance in the ongoing Kerala T20 Cup on Monday. Captaining the KCA Eagles side, Azharuddeen scored 69 runs off 43 deliveries at an impressive strike rate of 160.47. He smashed 4 fours and 4 sixes during his explosive knock against KCA Tuskers.

While the new RCB signing was brilliant with the bat, he was equally amazing behind the stumps. The wicket-keeper showed his athleticism to pull off an outstanding run-out to dismiss Srinath.

The wicket-keeper also registered a stumping to his name later in the match to sum up an excellent all-round show at Santana Dharma College Ground in Kerala. RCB fans would certainly be hoping that Azharuddeen can take this form to IPL 2021 as Virat Kohli's side aims to win their maiden IPL title in the upcoming season.
