Chennai Super Kings are one of the franchises who are undergoing a full-fledged practice camp ahead of IPL 2022. In order to prepare well for the pitches in Maharashtra, the franchise is practicing at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat, where the wicket has similar characteristics to that of Wankhede Stadium and other venues where league stages of the upcoming season is going to be held.
While it looks like a masterstroke from the franchise, something even more exciting for CSK fans is Dhoni's form and fitness going into the new season. A video of MSD hitting a huge one-handed six had gone viral a couple of days earlier before netizens flooded internet on Wednesday, reflecting on the incredible biceps and triceps of 40-year-old.
Dhoni shows his outrageous power-hitting ability
On March 10, CSK shared a video on social media with caption, "The 360° of #7" where Thala can be seen hitting a mammoth six off back-foot towards the square-leg region. Having already given a glimpse of his ability to hit straight and towards mid-wicket, this clip was another demonstration of the fact that Dhoni has a wide array of shots in his armoury.
As expected, the fans went crazy in the comment section after watching the gigantic hit by MSD. While some fans claimed that King is back, others said that everyone needs to be ready because helicopter has taken off. Meanwhile, few fans commented, "Mahi maar raha hai," which is the famous line from his biopic.
CSK's captain will be seen back in action on field on March 26 when his side lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2022 season opener at Wankhede Stadium.
