The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is almost into halfway stage, but five-time champions Mumbai Indians are yet to win their first game of the season. The Rohit Sharma-led team are languishing at the bottom of the points table with six defeats in six games. Nothing seems to be working for them this season.
Their training sessions are also being invaded by some unattended guests. MI’s training session had to be halted for a few minutes as a swarm of bees attacked the ground. The franchise shared a video of the same on their social media platforms with the caption, “To bee or not to bee in training was a question yesterday!”.

Mumbai to face Chennai in their next game
Now coming to Mumbai’s journey so far in IPL 2022, the five-time champions have looked the complete opposite of what they have been over the years. They have failed to win a single game this season which speaks volumes about their situation. It started with their loss against Delhi Capitals where they failed to defend 177. In their second game against Rajasthan, MI bowlers conceded a lot many runs (193) which their batters could not chase down.
In their third game against KKR, Mumbai were blown away by Cummins storm after looking in control for the most part. They faced RCB in their fourth game where the opposition easily chased down 152. In their fifth and sixth game against Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants, the story remained the same as MI bowlers conceded over 190 runs and their batters fell short by 18 and 12 runs respectively.
They will now face their nemesis Chennai Super Kings in their next game. Rohit Sharma will hope for his team to open their account when they meet the defending champions on Thursday.
