Bangladesh have been handed a huge injury blow in the 1st ODI against Sri Lanka in Dhaka on Monday. The match was quite evenly poised in the second innings as the visitors' score read 176/7 in 38 overs. Tamim Iqbal brought back the experienced bowlers Mustafizur Rahman into the attack in a bid to make the breakthrough. However, things went completely downhill for the Bangladesh pacer.

Mustafizur looked in lot of pain

After a good start to the over, the left-arm pacer tried to bowl an effort delivery but fell down in the process. Mustafizur looked in quite discomfort as he went down and was certainly grimacing in pain. The physio was out in the middle in no time as he looked after the injury. After a brief discussion between the physio and the bowler, the fans saw Mustafizur limping back to the pavilion. The expressions on the face of the 25-year-old reflected that he was actually in a lot of pain.

Mustafizur's over was completed by Mahmudullah who conceded a single run off the last delivery. The left-arm pacer had bowling figures of 6.5-0-26-1 when he left the field.

With the match going down the wire and Bangladesh about to lose three crucial overs of their strike bowler, the fans wondered what would happen. Much to the delight of everyone, 'Fizz' returned to the field and picked a wicket on his very first ball of the over despite a comparatively short run-up.
