Australian tennis ace Nick Kyrgios had a hilarious ‘oops moment’ ahead of his Wimbelodm game against Felix Auger Aliassime. Though the Australian thought that he was all prepped up for his third-round match at Wimbledon, he realized that he left his tennis shoes in the locker room. “I left my tennis shoes in the locker room. Good start,” Kyrgios mockingly said. This caused a slight delay in the game and the players were forced to hang in there for a while before they could start their warm-up.

Meanwhile, a Wimbledon employee was then seen running towards the court to bring the tennis players shoes from the lockers room. “The one day I thought I was being a professional, walking out here so confidently and then, bang. left the shoes in the locker room.” he jokingly said. The video of the lady rushing down bringing Nick’s shoes has gone viral on social media.

Kyrgios forced to pull out of Wimbledon owing to an injury

Following the initial hilarious moment with the Australian player which caused a delay in the warm-up, the game resumed between the two players. However, Kyrgios had to withdraw after playing 2 sets owing to an abdominal injury forcing him to pull out of Wimbledon. “As soon as I served, I felt acute pain. I knew I was in a bit of trouble", the Australian expressed as he quit the game, following which Felix Auger-Aliassime advanced as the winner.

Given the nature of the injury, the Australian star player is doubtful to feature in the Tokyo Olympics scheduled from July 23 to August 8, 2021.
