Novak Djokovic’s quest for his 21st Grand Slam is on as he has reached the semifinals of the Men’s Singles event at Wimbledon 2022. Djokovic made a stunning comeback against Jannik Sinner in the Quarterfinals of the event to reach his 11th Wimbledon semifinal. In his five-set match, Djokovic also played an outrageous shot that won a lot of praise for the Serbian tennis star.

In the final set of the quarterfinal match, Novak Djokovic scored a point despite a grueling battle with Sinner throughout the match. The Serbian scored the point from across the court and fell almost to the ground. As Sinner served Djokovic to his left, the Serbian nudged to the right of his opponent. The Italian then tried to outfox Djokovic by playing the return shot wide of the Serbian’s left.

However, 35-year-old was quick as a flash of light to not just return the shot but score a point. Novak Djokovic himself was stunned with his athleticism as he then celebrated lying on the ground and with his hands made like airplane wings. The video was shared by Wimbledon on their social media with the caption: "This is how champions play."

Djokovic comes roaring back

After missing the Australian Open and getting knocked out of the French Open, Novak Djokovic looks all set to lift his 21st Grand Slam title at Wimbledon this year. The Serbian’s stunning win over Jannik Sinner in the quarterfinals showed how determined the 35-year-old is. Djokovic came roaring back from two sets down and clinched the match against Sinner in 3 hours and 35 minutes.

Novak Djokovic was trailing 5-7, 2-6 after the first two sets. But the 35-year-old made a remarkable comeback and kept him alive in the contest by winning the 3rd set 6-3. Djokovic then took the fourth set 6-2 to take the game into the fifth set which he won 6-2. Eventually, the Serbian tennis star won the quarterfinal against Jannik Sinner 5-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2.
