The margin for error in competitive cricket is getting low and low as the sport becomes more professional with the passage of time. While there would be an odd error or two, usually the level of skill at display during a match at the international level or even in leagues like the Indian Premier League (IPL) has made spectators go wow.

One such moment was on display during the IPL 2022 Qualifier match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. While the Royals invited Bangalore to have a bat first, the Faf du Plessis-led side are not doing too bad a job and are on their way to a good score. The score could have been even more threatening had Rajasthan not seen the back of Glenn Maxwell.

While it was Trent Boult who produced the wicket in the 14th over, it was Obed McCoy who had a key role to play in that dismissal. Boult bowled a short-pitch ball which was on the leg and outside leg and while the batter went for the pull shot, he did not quite middle it. However, McCoy, who was at fine leg, took a great catch diving forward to send Maxwell back.
