The high-intensity Qualifier 1 between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) is taking interesting turns with both teams going for a win. After posting 188/6 in their 20 overs, Rajasthan bowlers and fielders kept the game interesting with a few wickets here and there. But the best moment in the game was when Obed McCoy dismissed Matthew Wade.
The bowler’s reaction after the wicket was one to watch out for. In the 10th over of GT innings, McCoy bowled a short-pitch delivery to Wade he tried to muscle it for a maximum over the deep midwicket boundary. But with pace and bounce on the delivery, Wade could not time his shot.
The ball went towards Jos Buttler who took a fine catch at the ropes by jumping at the right time. Obed McCoy, meanwhile, thought the shot had gone for a maximum and was regretting bowling a short ball. But when he turned around and saw his teammates celebrating, he could not believe that he had gotten a wicket. McCoy’s reaction was a priceless one.

Gujarat through to Final
Although Gujarat lost two back-to-back wickets, they did not let RR bowlers dominate them. Hardik Pandya, in particular, launched the counter-attack with David Miller joining him after a while. The Pandya-Miller dup put on a mammoth 106 runs for the fourth wicket to seal the deal for Gujarat. While Pandya scored an unbeaten 40 off 27 balls, David Miller finished the game in style (hitting three consecutive sixes to Prasidh Krishna in the 20th over). The southpaw scored 68* off 38 balls. With this 5-wicket win over Rajasthan in the Qualifier 1, Gujarat have sealed a spot in the IPL 2022 Final.
