The Pakistan Super League resumed in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. While the tournament was originally slated to culminate in March, it had to be postponed owing to the several cases of COVID-19 emerging inside bio-secure bubbles, it has finally resumed in a different country due to the health crisis.

In the second match of the double-header on Thursday, Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz pulled off a brilliant diving catch to get rid of Lahore Qalandars’ Muhammad Faizan. He grabbed the catch in the third ball of the 8th over of the Lahore innings. Although a bit of width from bowler Mohammad Imran allowed Faizan to try and play an expansive aerial drive but Wahab covered some distance to his left before diving and grabbing a smart catch to dismiss Faizan. The video of the dismissal was even shared by the official social media handle of the Pakistan Super League.

"Catch of the year," they captioned Wahab's effort.

After losing 4 wickets for 25 runs, Ben Dunk was sent back to the pavilion at 48. However, Tim David and Rashid Khan are reviving the Lahore Qalandars innings and they would look to put up a substantial total so that they can taste two wins in two successive days. Earlier, they had registered a five-wicket win over Islamabad United in a match that marked the resumption of the T20 tournament.
