Kolkata Knight Riders had the perfect start to the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League as they defeated defending champions Chennai Super Kings in the opening clash of the season. However, despite putting on an impressive fight against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their second game, KKR could not pull off a victory and were defeated by 3-wickets in a nail-biting thriller.

As Kolkata is all set to take on Punjab Kings in their third match of the season, management arranged a special screening of Kaun Pravin Tambe? for the players. Notably, the biopic is based on current KKR spin coach Pravin Tambe who defied all odds and made his IPL debut at the age of 41. He also has a hat-trick to his name against the Kolkata franchise. In a video posted by KKR's official Twitter handle, all the players, including skipper Shreyas Iyer were seen in complete awe after watching the biopic and were mesmerized by the struggle of their coach.

As visible in the video, players gave a round of applause to Tambe while he addressed the gathering by suggesting to everyone that they should "never give up on their dreams." Even skipper Shreyas Iyer confessed that he was eagerly waiting to watch the movie as he was highly impressed with the trailers of the movie. "We finally got to watch the movie. I was so desperate and excited to know the journey of a man who is nothing but an inspiration for all of us," added Iyer.

The skipper also admitted that he was in tears while listening to Dada's (Pravin Tambe) emotional speech after the movie ended. Speaking of Tambe, he made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals in 2013 and played 33 matches in the league, bagging 28 wickets at an economy rate of 7.75. Tambe’s last match in the IPL was in 2016 for Gujarat.
