We have seen enough of PV Sindhu's smashes while she takes on her opposition in a badminton game. But has anyone seen her father playing volleyball? For those who don't know, PV Sindhu's father, PV Ramana was a national-level volleyball player. He was part of the Indian volleyball team that won the bronze medal in the 1986 Asian Games. PV Ramana is also an Arjuna awardee which he received in 2000 for his contribution to Indian volleyball.

Those who were fans of his smashes don't have to go through old videos to enjoy Ramana's game. Rather they can save the video shared by Prime Volleyball on Twitter where PV Ramans is seen going down the memory lane and recreating a powerful smash. “Like father, like daughter. Watch PV Sindhu's father PV. Ramana acing it on the court," wrote Prime Volleyball in the caption of the video. In a three-second-long video, Sindhu's father is seen smashing the ball with sheer power while players around him cheer. Even at such old age, PV Ramana's agility won the heart of netizens.

While in the video it can be guessed that it was Sindhu who was recording, she also took to Twitter to react to the viral video. Sindhu reshared the video with fire emojis in the caption.

Apart from his daughter, PV Ramana left many people awestruck with his skills. Former Indian hockey captain Viren Rasquinha was also left impressed with Ramana's litheness at this age and joked about himself ending up in a hospital if he tried to enact something in hockey. My God!!! @Pvsindhu1’s dad PV Ramana, Asian Games bronze medallist in 1986 and Arjuna awardee, is on Fire Rolling back the years. I was just thinking if I try and do something similar in hockey now, il have to book a hospital bed for myself," tweeted Viren.

Prime Volleyball to start from 5 February

The Prime Volleyball League 2022 is all set to kick off from 5 February at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. The tournament was scheduled to be hosted in Kochi but was moved to Hyderabad amid rising COVID-19 cases in the state.
