Match no. 19 between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators was quite evenly poised until Mohammad Irfan and Umaid Asif turned the match upside down. Chasing a target of 198 runs, Quetta Gladiators were 69/1 after the end of 9 overs and were starting to go after the bowlers to make their way back into the match. However, things dramatically turned for the Gladiators post that as they lost 5 wickets in the next 14 deliveries.
Mohammad Irfan takes 3 wickets in the 10th over
The left-arm pacer was at his absolute best as he took the crucial wicket of well-set Saim Ayub on the first delivery of the 10th over after a leading edge went straight up in the air and was safely caught by Fabian Allen. Mohammad Irfan completed the destruction as he dismissed Azam Khan and Cameron Delport on consecutive deliveries at the end of the over.
Umaid Asif adds cherry on top with two back-to-back wickets
The right-arm pacer was introduced into the attack in the 12th over and he joined the party right away. Umaid Asif took the wickets of Jake Weatherald and Mohammad Nawaz with two outstanding deliveries and just missed an opportunity to complete a brilliant hattrick. The 37-year-old finished his first over of the game with two wickets while conceding only 2 runs.
