Quinton de Kock looked in great touch in his team’s game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The Lucknow opener smashed every KKR bowler and to all parts of the ground. And he also reached his first century in this edition of the League.

De Kock’s celebration after crossing the three-figure mark was one to watch out for. After reaching his century with a boundary off Andre Russell, de Kock first dropped to the floor. After that, he got up and punched his bat, and roared in delight. Meanwhile, his wife was seen cheering for de Kock in the stands with their baby also with her.

de Kock and Rahul script history!

It was a gem of a knock from a special player. Quinton de Kock played like a champion batter and gave no chance to the opposition. The only chance KKR got was when the southpaw batter was dropped on 12 runs by Abhijeet Tomar. After that, de Kock literally made KKR pay for their mistake. He not only scored a century but did it in some style. After completing his century in 59 balls, de Kock put his foot on the paddle and amassed 39 runs in the next eleven deliveries he faced.

The LSG opener walked back to the pavilion with an unbeaten 140 against his name. de Kock found a perfect partner in KL Rahul who played the second fiddle while the southpaw took charge. Rahul returned to the pavilion with an unbeaten 68 against his name. As both batters remained not out, they scripted history in the process. The first record created by Rahul and de Kock is of the highest opening partnership in the history of the Indian Premier League (210*).

The second record created is not losing a single wicket in the whole innings. This was the first time in the 15 years that a team did not lose a single wicket in their 20 overs.
