After Virat Kohli scored his first half-century of IPL 2022, Indian cricket team fans expected another star India batter to produce one such memorable knock. However, Rohit Sharma failed to live up to the expectations of his fans and his team as he fell cheaply for one more time in IPL 2022.
Sharma could not make his 35th birthday special as he was dismissed by R Ashwin for only 2 runs. The batter looked disappointed on his way back to the pavilion. The bowler, however, was chuffed to bits to get a big fish in Rohit Sharma.
Ashwin celebrated Rohit’s wicket with so much excitement and thrill. But his wife Prithi could understand the pain of Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika who sat with a devastated face in the stands. And thus, she went to Ritika to console her.

Glimpses of old Ishan Kishan!
While Rohit Sharma departed early in the innings, Mumbai’s second opener Ishan Kishan showed some glimpses of his old self as he scored a quick 26. Kishan scored four boundaries and a six in his sort innings. He opened his account against Trent Boult with a maximum in the deep point region. He then hit Prasidh Krishna for consecutive boundaries in the next over.
Although the batter did not play a big knock, he did show some promise during his little stay at the crease. The management will be relieved to see Kishan playing his shots. On the back of some sensible hitting from Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, Mumbai scored 41 runs in the first six overs.
