The Chennai Super Kings are back to the training mode. They had a disappointing run in IPL 2020 in the United Arab Emirates as they failed to reach the Playoffs for the first time in their history. So poor was their performance that they became the first team to get eliminated from the final four race last season and eventually finished seventh in an eight-team table. Although their batting looked more like the CSK of glory days with the addition of Suresh Raina in their IPL 2021 opening game against DC, it was their bowling which cost them the match.

After a bitter defeat in the opening match, the Chennai boys are training hard and working out a plan to learn from their mistakes and execute their plans better. However, they are not forgetting to have some fun even while training. A recent video doing the rounds on Internet shows all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja having bit of a fun moment involving MS Dhoni. The incident reportedly took place before the first match.

In the video, Jaddu can be seen getting the better of MSD. The left-arm spinner not only deceives the batsman with a tricky ball but forcefully demands that he should be given out, on a lighter note.

Dhoni out for a duck against DC

Meanwhile, Thala fans would hope that MSD regains his form and scores big for Chennai. While he managed just 200 runs in 14 matches last season, he scored a 2-ball duck against DC in their IPL 2021 opener. Ahead of the game against Punjab Kings, CSK would hope for a hefty contribution with the bat from their skipper in addition to his leadership and wicketkeeping genius behind the stumps.
