He just supported his case for the same by flying into the air to dismiss the dangerous West Indian opener Chris Gayle early in the PBKS innings.

Chahar bowled a normal pace delivery to Gayle who closed the face of his bat very early, getting a mishit. Deepak Chahar bowled his 3 over spell in the powerplay giving only 13 runs and taking the 3 wickets. In overall, he ended his bowling with figures of 4/13.
