The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season resumption is not pretty far away from now. While some of the Indian players are still in England in the last leg of the five-match Test series, some other domestic and overseas stars who are set to be part of the T20 tournament have already reached the United Arab Emirates - which is the venue for the second phase of the tournament this year.

The Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore have already completed their quarantine in UAE post which they have hit the ground running. To begin their warm-ups and training, the Virat Kohli-led side enjoyed a game of football. Later the team's head coach and Director of Cricket Operations Mike Hesson gave the team an update with regards to their training program and the arrival of the overseas players.

The team also shared a video of the same on social media.

"Bold Diaries: RCB begin training for #IPL2021 Quarantine ✅ and the RCB players hit the ground running with a game of football. Mike Hesson shares updates on the training program and the arrival of the foreign players. #PlayBold #WeAreChallengers #BoldDiaries," the video was captioned.

RCB looked pretty good in the first half of IPL 2021 as they registered wins in 5 of the 7 matches they played. Consequently, they find themselves placed third on the points tally. The addition of Glenn Maxwell to the setup seemed to be working well for them at the top of the order with bowling also looking better from the previous seasons. The Kohli-led side is yet to win an IPL trophy and given how they played in the first half of the tournament, they seem one of the favourites to win the competition.

However, while the first half of the tournament had happened in India, the second phase will continue in UAE based on which the team may have to restrategize. Several replacements have also been announced which gives the franchise a bit of a new look but mostly with familiar faces. RCB resume their campaign against the Kolkata Knight Riders on September 20 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
