The scuffle between opposition players on the football ground is nothing new. At times, the players even don't hesitate from taking it on the referees when not satisfied with the decisions. Despite several actions being taken against the offenders in the past, it is surprising to see that the players still get caught in the heat of the moment.

Saying so they are not only the players who could be blamed individually because we also have several instances in the game when the referees too lose their cool and end up giving rise to unappreciated moments. However, a recent bizarre act of a referee in the US state of Oklahoma shows him crossing all the limits during a game. A video of the referee pointing a gun to a red-carded player has surfaced all over internet. Reports also say that the referee fired a round in the direction of the spectators after that.

What actually happened?

While officiating during a football match on August 15, a referee showed red card to one of the players. However, things didn't pan out well after that and matter grew violent. The follow up saw the referee walking towards his car and then taking a gun from there. Eyewitnesses say that the referee pointed the gun towards the player before turning the target to the crowd. He even fired a round from his gun, state reports.

Here is the video of the incident:

Latest update on the issue:

Police have arrested the referee who made the offence. Though he fired from his gun during the scuffle on August 15, nobody was hurt as per Police report. The video of the incident is now getting viral on social media.

"It is very dangerous. It could’ve been a very bad situation. You have families there, you have not only the adult spectators and players, but you have children in the area," said Pauls Valley Assistant Police Chief Derrick Jolley.

"Even small calibre weapons can still produce death. Completely reckless," he added.
