While the domestic leagues might have come to a halt with the season coming to an end but that does not mean there has been any shortage of football action. Most players are back on international duty and have joined their respective sides. While the European teams have been competing in the Nations League recently, South American teams like Neymar Jr starrer Brazil are having their friendly matches staged in the FIFA World Cup year.

Brazil, for instance, played a friendly game against Japan and South Korea as they base and train in Asia ahead of the biggest international football tournament which will be staged in Qatar this year. Brazil are one of the favourites to win the tournament this year, having last clinched the trophy in 2002.

However, there might have been a little disagreement among Brazilian stars during a training session as can be seen in a video gone viral. In the short clip, Richarlison and Vinicius Jr were seen engaged in a physical altercation that looked like a playful engagement, they were pulled apart by fellow Brazilian stars Neymar and Dani Alves.

Talking about Brazil's chances of winning the FIFA World Cup, manager Tite believes that his side is not dependent on any single player like Neymar.

"I have been in charge of the national team for a long time, and in that time I have made lots of mistakes and also made some good decisions," he said.

"We have a new generation coming through and one good thing I have done is to try out a lot of players. Now we are not so dependent on one attacking player," he added.

Notably, Brazil won the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games which happened in 2021 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Several members from that gold-medal-winning contingent have broken into national squad.
