India registered a memorable ODI series win over England after beating them by 5 wickets in the 3rd and final ODI. The series was levelled at 1-1 before the start of the third match and with a chance to create history, Indian players did not disappoint. Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant were the real starts for India.

While Hardik was impressive both with the ball and bat, scalping 4 for 24 and then chipping in with 71, playing his part in a match-changing 133-run stand with Pant, it was the wicketkeeper-batter who had saved his best for the day as he reached his maiden ODI century. Moreover, he came back only after finishing the match and took the responsibility upon himself to finish the match once Hardik was dismissed.

Deservingly, Rishabh Pant got the Player of the Match in the post-match presentation at Old Trafford. However, what caught the eye of the fans was that the star left-hander gave his champagne bottle, which he had received for his match-winning innings, to former India head coach Ravi Shastri.

A video of the same has surfaced on social media. Netizens also noted that ex-India captain Virat Kohli also offered champagne to Shastri but it was Rishabh Pant who actually handed over the bottle to him.

"Hopefully I will remember my first ODI century for the rest of my life. But when I was in there, I was just focusing on one ball at a time. (Coming in at 25 for 2) When a team is under pressure and you bat like that, that's what you aspire to do. (Quick end to the chase) I enjoy playing in England and will do whatever I can do to keep enjoying my cricket," Rishabh Pant said at the post-match presentation.

"The more cricket you play, the more experience you get. (Bowling) It was the best pitch to bat on, so credit to our bowlers for keeping them to 260. Not only this game, they have bowled well through the series. Not only this series either, they have been excellent all year," he added.
