The 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is underway at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. The teams of India's two future captains, Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul are up against each other. Rahul made a good start to the game by calling it right at the toss. However, the Delhi Capitals' opening pair of Prithvi Shaw, and David Warner aggregated some quick runs inside the powerplay before the spinners took over.

Shaw scored a blistering half-century in just 30 balls to keep his team on the front foot. On the back of Shaw's heroics, DC scored 52 runs in the first six overs but once the powerplay was done, it got hard for DC batters to find the middle of the bat. They lost three wickets in quick succession as Krishnappa Gowtham and Ravi Bishnoi took one and two wickets each.

It started getting tough for Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan to score boundaries and DC felt the need to score quick runs. To up the ante, Rishabh Pant brought his innovative side to the fore. He put his foot on the gas as he hit Andrew Tye for two maximums in the 16th over. Pant then hit two boundaries off Avesh Khan in the 17th over.

Fans started cheering with Pant getting in action. They cheered louder when the DC captain brought out a mini-helicopter shot in the 19th over, the southpaw batter went deep inside the crease and whipped a full-toss from Avesh to send it to the boundary ropes.

Pant and Sarfraz help DC post 149/3

The pair of Rishabh Pant and Sarfraz Khan tried their best to smash the LSG bowlers, but it was not easy with the ball not coming onto the bat easily. Despite that, the duo stitched an unbeaten partnership of 75 runs in 57 balls. While Pant scored 39* off 36 balls, Sarfraz hit 36* off 28 balls.
